The somewhat-final cover for my ongoing Star Wars fanfiction, "Skies/Ruins".

The story takes place about 800 years after the movies, so it's less of a 'Space Fantasy' from a long time ago, and more of a Sci-Fi thing - with Fantasy elements thrown in there. (Along with some wacky nautical elements. By which I don't mean water.)

Anyway, for the cover I tried something that looked like old school romantic sci-fi. Because that's half of what the story is.

That kind of style also allowed me to get a PG-13-cut-off-Twi'lek-head in there. Which, of course, is the other half. In a manner of speaking.

Also wenn das mal nicht oldschool ist

Irgendwie fühle ich mich an Fallout 3 erinnert - nicht nur wegen des Endzeit-Szenarios. Sehr cool ist der Textureffekt, der sich wie eine Lichtspiegelung über die Bildmitte zieht. Es erweckt den Eindruck eines tatsächlichen Posters an irgendeiner Betonmauer.

Allerdings hätte ich den Twi'lek-Kopf nicht als solchen erkannt, wenn du es nicht extra erwähnt hättest. o_O

Ah... Danke sehr!

Den Oldschool-Effekt hast Du mitverbrochen, quasi, da ich dank KdO die Domäne der eleganteren Hochglanzcover so weitläufig umfahren musste, wie möglich. Falls du jetzt auch noch mit Vektoren ankommst, hab ich nur noch Acrylbilder als Ausweichplan.

Der Twi'lek-Kopf, alles klar. Ich schau nochmal, ob ich's deutlicher machen kann, ohne auf Blut oder Augen zurückgreifen zu müssen. Wobei's jetzt auch nicht der Blickfang des Covers sein soll, mehr für den zweiten Blick, aber wenn man's auch beim fünften noch nicht erkennt, muss das noch besser!
